Hello, I played IMVU when I was a teenager but then I left, they deleted my account so I created this one. I love imvu and I remember when IMVU had voice chat. People could talk on the microphone and they could chat more and have more fun. Now I'll say, the game is kinda bored and when I go to different rooms, people don't talk that much, they just stand there. I wish imvu could let the players use microphone... imagine, paying 20 dollars to start talking and if you don't pay you just can listen. Imvu would be bigger if there was voice chat enable.

They do have voice chat. You need a VIP tier to have the chat ability, and it only works in Live Rooms.
A Live Room is like a public room, but it's set up in a way where you can have 10 "presenters" which are avatars you can see, but up to 100 "observers" which are people who can only chat, but you don't see an avatar.
Any can voice chat if they have it, and the room owner can also allow everyone to chat off their voice chat in his/her room.
Live Rooms only work on the new desktop app, mobile, and I think web. Not Classic.
