Okay. So, after a week of prepping my computer, I have successfully uninstalled and reinstalled the newest update, 544.3, I think that's what it is. It works perfectly. I have no load issues, no high ram usage and rooms are loading just fine. Uninstalling the previous IMVU program is definitely the way to go. It cleans out all of the IMVU files and starts you fresh.
I didn't lose any chat rooms and everything was still set where I had it. It's not glitching at all and there is no lag.

Okay... I'm afraid in this case only IMVU supprt may help. Did you create a ticket yet?

It prompted me to update to version 554.0 I clicked it and nothing has worked properly since. It doesn't even show the update prompt anymore, even if I reinstall it. :c

Maybe I misunderstand... you're trying to update after the installation of v. 552.2? If you have the option to skip the update at the start of IMVU, just do so and use v. 552.2.

Have you done a complete deinstall before? And did you use version 552.2?
You can find it here, I just pushed this one to my google drive:
Problems with IMVU Classic version 544.x.
The following versions are affected:
554.0
544.2
544.4
Problems I'm experiencing (after completely uninstalling and reinstalling—I always reinstall instead of applying the update):
- Extremely long loading times in the wardrobe, in the chat room overview, and when loading rooms
- Very high RAM usage
- Radio streaming sometimes not working
- Poses shifted in rooms
- etc.
My solution:
I rolled back to version 552.2. It runs absolutely smoothly without any of the issues mentioned above.
Request to IMVU:
Can you restore the download history on the corresponding website? https://de.imvu.com/download.php

try
1. deinstall
2. check under "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\" if theres still a folder named "IMVU". If so, delete it.
3. reboot
4. install version 552.2

None of the versions work when I reload these. None of these have worked since the update.
