I would like to suggest an improvement regarding the interaction between wearable Light products and IMVU+ products.
This is a different issue from my previous safety suggestion, and it concerns the visual quality and rendering experience of IMVU+ products.
IMVU+ introduced new rendering features such as dynamic lighting, shininess, reflections, and other material effects that allow creators to produce significantly more realistic products.
However, wearable Light products can sometimes produce an excessive amount of illumination on IMVU+ products, especially products using shininess and reflective materials.
The result can be extremely strong highlights or overexposure that completely washes out the original texture, color, details, and reflective properties of the product.
In some cases, a product that was carefully designed with a specific material, shine level, and reflection can become almost completely white or excessively bright when another avatar is wearing a Light product.
This significantly affects the visual quality of IMVU+ products and can make the work of creators appear very different from its intended design.
### Suggested Solution
I would like to suggest that IMVU consider changing how wearable Light products interact with the newer IMVU+ rendering system.
Some possible solutions could be:
• Disable or significantly reduce the effect of wearable Lights inside IMVU+ rooms.
• Add an option allowing users to disable the lighting effects emitted by other avatars.
• Automatically reduce Light intensity when it causes extreme overexposure on reflective IMVU+ materials.
• Add a lighting limit or intensity cap specifically for avatar-worn Light products.
• Consider discontinuing or redesigning existing Light products if they cannot be made compatible with the current IMVU+ rendering system.
I understand that lighting is an important part of the creative experience on IMVU, and I am not suggesting that lighting effects should necessarily disappear completely.
The main concern is that one avatar's Light product should not negatively affect the visual appearance of other users' IMVU+ products.
IMVU+ was introduced to provide more advanced and realistic rendering, so I believe the lighting system should be designed to preserve the appearance and material properties created by IMVU+ creators.
I believe a solution to this issue would benefit both users and creators, especially those who invest significant time in creating high-quality IMVU+ products.
Thank you for considering this suggestion and for continuing to improve the IMVU+ experience.

I actually understand the point. Ambient lighting is one of the things that makes Classic rooms look so good, especially darker Gothic or Victorian environments. Body lights and other self-illuminated items can definitely interfere with that atmosphere.
I personally think there is room for both styles on IMVU. Bright IMVU+ looks work well for certain environments, while Classic ambient lighting can create a much more immersive mood in darker rooms.
For me, the problem isn't the technology itself — it's using the wrong type of item in the wrong environment.

With the blessing of room owners we BOOT self centered narcissistic idiots and pixel trolls whom wear IMVI+ products and body lights because they ruin the shadows and darkening effect of ambient lighting in the rooms we are MOD in.
The effects of ambient lighting are best enjoyed and experienced on IMVU Classic, especially in ½ darkened rooms light by candlelight where the shadows and softened lights cast by the animated flames of fire places come to life.
I'm sure IMVU+ products look best in techno clubs with all the bright fluorescent colors and neon lights can scream loudly into the eyes. Personally such rooms give me a headache after several minutes of visual exposure.
I would rather relax in a slightly darkened Gothic Victorian room with a warm cozy fire place, softened candlelight and classic paintings.
