About 2 years ago I posted a concern regarding the new experience shopping on IMVU.
This situation has been resurfaced and going on for a while. ITS FRUSTRATING.
IMVU community can you tell me why members can't search for specific items in shop when information is typed in search box.
Example if I typed in teal dress XL; why is heads, skins and other unrelated clothing descriptions popping up in results?
THIS IS ANNOYING. FRUSTRATING AND UPSETTING.
SHOPPING IS ALREADY TEDIOUS; THIS IS MAKING THE EXPERIENCE X10 WORSE!
FIX IT IMVU!!

I think this comes down to a few problems:
Creators aren't tagging or using categories in their uploads, or not even using Studio to use the new features, and their products muck up searches.
Creators are throwing what they think is popular in tags, not what is ideal, hoping to be noticed.
Creators using emojis and funky characters in names, which mess up searching for them.
Search function needs work and more done to make it ideal.
Personally, I still think IMVU should penalize creators who don't have tagging, or even allow users to report products that aren't in the right category. This of course AFTER they update the search functionality. Start making it harder on bad creators who won't properly do things, or won't use Studio.
I also want the "Products Like This" feature on the NEXT platform.

They need to update the search functionality.. key words in product labels still can narrow down searches.
Product like this works fairly well for me; best with rooms, furniture. But you still get occasional stress for clothing, accessories. Overall IMVU needs updates that make sense and is more profitable for users.
You don't even get good clothes and rooms anymore. My guess is most IMVU creators have closed shop and moved to Second Life
