Feature Request: Turn IMVU Into a Real-Time Open-World Social Experience
I would love to see IMVU evolve into a more immersive, real-time virtual world, similar to the freedom and exploration you get in games like Roblox or GTA Online—but still keeping everything that makes IMVU unique, especially the avatars, fashion, rooms, and social interaction.
Right now, IMVU is very room-based. I think it would be amazing if we could have a large connected world where we could actually walk, drive, explore, and interact with people in real time instead of constantly entering and leaving separate rooms.

What makes IMVU IMVU is that it’s a standalone virtual world. If you make it so that you can actually walk and drive around, I think you’ll need bigger servers; it’ll become more resource-intensive, and as there’s currently a mobile version, that’ll have to go too, because it’ll become too resource-intensive for mobile as well.
A brilliant idea! It would be a major upgrade, but given the costs involved, people with guest accounts would no longer be able to register for free, or there’d be a compulsory subscription just to access that world at all.

My opinion.
