Ok so, I enter a room and I can't see the people in there. I can see who is there because I can see their name and icon in the chat box but....I don't see mine. Why is everybody invisible to me in the room?

It sounds as though you may need to clear your cache in the Desktop version. Log out of IMVU then clear your cache. Once cleared, log back into the program and try again. Do you have the current version of Desktop? You may want to check that as well.
If you find you still can not see anyone then Contact Customer Support. If you are a VIP account you can contact them via Live Chat. The other option is submitting a Help Ticket, which will take 5 or more days. I hope clearing the cache will help resolve the problem for you.
