If your account access is restricted due to a possible suspension or disablement, this article will walk you through the common causes and how to resolve the issue.

You (or Someone Else) Deleted Your Account

If you deleted your account yourself, you should have received an email with a reactivation link.

Can’t locate the email, or believe someone else may have deleted your account without your consent? No problem, submit a ticket to our support team, and we’ll do our best to help you recover your account.

Please note: In some cases, accounts may not be recoverable if too much time has passed since deletion.

Your Password Was Changed but Your Account Is Still Active

If your password was changed and you can’t log in, visit the following help article for steps on how to reset it and regain access to your account: I cannot log in!

Your Account Was Disabled by IMVU Staff

This usually occurs when an account violates our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or shows signs of suspicious activity.

If your account was suspended or disabled, we’ll send an email to the address associated with your account explaining the reason. You will also see a message with details about the disablement when you try to log in. This message will include:

  • Whether your account is temporarily suspended or permanently disabled
  • The reason for the suspension or disablement
  • If applicable, when your account will be reinstated and access restored (for temporary suspensions only)

How to Appeal a Suspended or Disabled Account

If you believe your account was suspended or disabled by mistake, you can submit a ticket to file an appeal. Our support team will review your case and follow up with more information.
