[Archived - HearNoEvil] I can't use studio at all it won't load. I tried to uninstall it and install and new copy. I still get the same white screen loading that never changes. Previously I used studio for several months with no issues at all.

Hi, I have the same problem with imvu Studio and I have posted my issue here: https://help.imvu.com/s/question/0D54p00002XU2xzCAD/problems-with-imvu-studio?language=en_US&t=1666332620877 I have tried all solutions many times. When I log onto Studio it just keeps loading and then freezing. When I go to task manager to close it I see the number (5) next to it. Any new update about this problem? I really like to submit new products to Studio but I don't know how to fix it. Thank you.

Thanks for the feedback @DiamondBones​. I have long suspected this is the case and it is an extremely difficult thing to test because of the variability of things that happen over the course of working AND that you have to spend hours in order to get an issue to reproduce which is the key to diagnosing a bug.

@HearNoEvil​ I use to have this issue but it went away by itself the more I *uninstalled, *let it rest, *then re-installed later.

I didn't see a difference when I also reinstalled the installer, so I can just keep which ever current version I had and keep reinstalling that after each uninstallment + rest. Updated versions haven't made much of a difference for this issue, but I still update and discard the previous when available, because they do useful improvements elsewhere.

I also notice with all the versions so far that it gets problems when I do too many changes to preview. It's as if it gets tired

Yes, sorry I didn't mention that one sooner.

 

For those reading here...

 

  1. Use the Windows Uninstaller for the IMVU Studio
  2. Go to Search and place this phrase in the search... %AppData%\imvu-studio
  3. Delete all the contents of that folder.
  4. Download and install a fresh copy of the IMVU Studio.

 

It has been suggested to the IMVU Studio Team to remove this folder in the Studio uninstall process.

So after being ready to give up. I found another thread where a person had the same issue and was given the advice to delete the app data folder with Studio in it and thats what i did and it works now! Unreal that I did so many things and that's all needed to do.

Next runs good, no problems. i use chrome and Studio was fine until now. I had a couple issues with my virus protection, but I figured that out. It usually prompts me to turn it off for that app.

That doesn't look too unusual, looking at mine it shows (3) so it'll always have a number of child processes. Do you have any problems with NEXT running in your browser?

Something is really strange for sure. I noticed when I go into task manager to close it from being frozen, I can see it with a (5) next It. Showing 5 versions running? What the heck? That's weird. My Google showed 14 and I had 14 windows open which is normal. But why in the word did studio show a (5)? I do not have 5 versions running, and deleted them before installing. I'm so confused. LOL

What graphics are you running on? Could be a driver issue. Also if you're using a system with a discrete graphics card try disabling any onboard GFX to force use of the card.
