[Archived] List changes you think would make you want to do more peer reviews:
If I remember right, it takes around 10 passing votes for each 1 item to exit pr successfully... and it's a long wait because most submit more new items than they've reviewed, so there's a lot of backed up work for the community to do.
"Peer Review ---- Up to 30 --- 46 --- 0"
I thought 46 was many but clearly not! 30 use to be enough to push my new items out right away, but not anymore, and the recent msgs from imvu do mention that not enough of us are doing pr which is slowing things down even more lately. I miss the bots, but obviously those were not a good solution.
Bless all,
Dia

I will say I was skeptical about the "If you do peer review your products will move up faster" statement in the beginning. I thought it basically meant "If you get others' products out of the queue by voting on them, yours will naturally move up." I have a main account and an alt. Since I created the alt, I always did 400 or more peer reviews on it per month. I didn't do peer reviews on my main account with any consistency. I noticed lately that my main account takes longer for items to get through peer review than those on the alt where I have consistently done peer review. Sure, some things are still slow on the alt but overall everything gets through faster on the alt. Some are up in hours while others take a couple of days. But on the main, it leaned more towards a couple of days for everything.
I started doing peer reviews again on the main account and honestly I did see a speed increase for at least some items. No pattern as to what passed quickly vs what continued to take a while. It was just that at least some got through faster. So I'm going to try that again and do at least 400 peer reviews on the main and alt accounts each month.

@Triggers For them to lie, they'd have to add extra upkeep, which goes against their original "lean business" concept, according to my understanding of an article about how they started.
Lately, no matter how many reviews I do, I no longer get my new products out in the same day, like it use to a few months ago. We did get a letter from imvu somewhere where I remember them mentioned a drop in amount of peer reviews our community was not doing anymore.
I have not tried doing 100 in the same day still, it's too tiresome. Even 20 feels like a lot lol.
I know so many devs who just create, submit, then leave. That's it. They don't engage in the community, they're just here to sell and profit, no time to do peer reviews. And I think that maybe it's getting more popular for devs to ask customer service to pass their items instantly. There's less and less incentives to do pr... There's even a dev I follow in ig who explains that if customer service makes a mistake by passing your item that was misrated, then you don't get in trouble if someone flags it later. Maybe i misunderstood him, but makes sense I guess.

I'm cynical and skeptical about the IMVU narrative that if we creators go and do peer review, our own products will get into peer review faster. I just haven't seen that as the case. I've been doing quite a bit of peer review lately for those sweet dev tokens, but it doesn't seem to matter. My new products will just slog through at a snails pace. My suspicion is that IMVU is lying to us about some kind of process that promotes creators' products to the front of the line. It looks to me like total BS.

i think devs that do peer should be rewarded with items being passed quicker, i can do peer review all day to help try and pass items , but they still can take 3 days to pass mine or longer.

Require any item with 1 or more Fail Votes to reset and go through another 20 Votes.
If any of the 20 extra Votes Fail the item again, require a Staff review of the item.
Change this "formula" with Staff available logistics to "fine-tune" the idea into a workable plan.
