I tried to delete and install.

For a brief moment I was able to open, but from the moment I tried opening a product, it appeared "WebGL error".

I had framenetwork 5 installed, then tried to install the 3.5 version.

Then deleted the app again, as well as, all Studio folders. Clean installation and restart.

Still the same problem.

1.18.1 Does not fix this issue unless the older version is Fully Uninstalled

 

  1. Uninstall Studio with the Windows Uninstaller.
  2. Delete the %appdata%\imvu-studio folder contents, manually.
  3. Download and Install new Version of IMVU Studio

 

Life is good...

 

@Drosselmeyer​ Is there anyway we can get the Windows Uninstaller to include this folder?

If someone does a complete uninstall, shouldn't it remove all of the IMVU Studio?

Hi @Drosselmeyer​ I still had the issue this morning after auto-update to 1.18.1, last night. With the Studio Icon set to compatibility for Win 8 and Run As Administrator, all is well.

 

I tested the compatibility settings in the Icon Properties. I reset them to default compatibility or No Run as Admin and No Compatibility for Win ?. The Studio will not load. Only the Grey Screen with "pulse" orange in the middle.

 

I changed the Compatibility to Windows 8 and the Studio loads fine. This is with leaving the Run as Admin, still unchecked.

 

If set the Studio Icon back to Windows Defaults (nothing checked) and run the Windows Compatibility Troubleshooter (in Icon Properties) Windows setts the Studio Icon for Windows 8 Compatibility and all is okay.

 

What do you think?

 

Unchecking this one setting "Compatibility with Windows 8" make the Studio Not load.

Hello All, we just released an update to Studio which has a fix which should address this white screen, no load issue. please look for version 1.18.1 and let us know if the issue is resolved for you. Thanks!!

Hi @YueSu​, Our engineering and QA teams are not able to reproduce the issue you are having. Is it still occurring for you?  If so and you are unable to access "Report an Issue" from the "Help" menu or the "?" button in the lower right corner of the Studio window, would you please email us at studio@imvu.com the following files after you have quit Studio:

C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Roaming\imvu-studio\imvu-studio.log

C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Roaming\imvu-studio\imvu-studio-last.log

Everything is working fine now on Windows 11. I just had to go to compatibility mode and set for windows 7.

@YueSu​ I found a log file you sent in back in May and from what I can see your system "should" be fine to run Studio. The fact that you are running Windows 11 is a bit of a concern. I will check with our QA team about that. I am forwarding this issue to our team.

I have not gotten response from anyone who tried this but if you want...

 

  1. Right Click the IMVU Studio Icon
  2. Click on the Compatibility Tab
  3. Set Run as Administrator
  4. Set Compatible with Windows 7
  5. Apply & Okay
  6. Start Studio again

 

Anything? If not, you can always set it back or complete uninstall and reinstall, etc.

I am so sorry you have this. I know @Drosselmeyer​ and others jump in here in the Discussions as time permits. I do know they devote many, many hours (some at home) to making the Studio Project better but, they are dedicated enough to help in Discussions when they can :D This is one thing I love about our Engineering team !
