I have an issue making a portal for multiple rooms. Is it just me or has IMVU eliminated the use of portals completely?

I love the idea. If it worked in the same manner as the Adobe Flash but is coded within IMVU client, that would be so awesome. I think these would become a BIG Hit!

It's generally been done the way you describe, clever seat node placement in a large, delineated, room. Or through flash as @LestatDeLioncourt mentions which triggers loading another room.

What we could really do with it the ability to place an actual item, a tagged furniture item rather than an overlay (flash), in a room that can be clicked, which then (re)loads in a new room as though you're loading in from your inventory.

Hey @xAidenSteelx Go to this link https://www.imvu.com/rooms/ Find your room. Right Click on the "Join" room and then select "Copy Link". Paste that link in your .XML file. Should work fine.

These are Adobe Flash... All of mine were Flash, anyway. This is a Hidden one. If you place it in your "My Room" and try it in the Classic, you will see more. Ex: https://www.imvu.com/shop/product.php?products_id=5446969 (hidden)

So I understand, when you refer to "making a portal for multiple rooms" do you mean the ability to dynamically leave a current chat room and join a new one? And this is (was?) accomplished how? Through actions and Flash?

I have seen and made what I considered "portals" through the clever use of seat handles to "teleport" the avatar to a new location within a single room, but I am unfamiliar with the ability to switch chat rooms. I am learning new things about IMVU every week :D

Hi @DrSooLinAnderson Adobe has turned off support for the Flash Products. They currently work in the Classic Client but not newer platforms. There are "Portals" out there that do not rely on the Adobe Flash. These products are made with Mesh Animation and they will work on any platofrm. An example product is https://www.imvu.com/shop/product.php?products_id=27631080 There are many more in the catalog that are similar and completely different. I stopped making Flash products some time back as they will eventually not work as the Classic Client reaches it's sunset.

Hope this helps...
