My experience with IMVU has been an utter nightmare. I have quit already because I believe IMVU is too predatory. I left my account sitting for a while and its built up a little bit of money I wanted to withdraw. Now I'm told I can only withdraw a small amount at a time, which I have to pay VIP for every time I want to withdraw. They already take a large cut of the money you make on top of taking a cut for VIP every month to even withdraw funds.
Now I'm suddenly and randomly not able to withdraw funds because my account is "under review" and if they sent me a message about that, I would have no way of know under the mountain of spam mail they send daily. I have obvious questions about this. What is under review? What is being reviewed? I make a Case under Contact because Live Chat is only available for VIP users, which of course I wont pay for while my account is under some mystery review that I have no information about. Without VIP, I can't even check the status of my account being under review. So I make a case over a month ago and get a reply a few days later saying this:
"Hello, Thank you for your patience. Processing times vary and we process all requests in the order they are received. Each request is reviewed and processed as soon as possible. We have a dedicated team available in our corporate offices to process these requests. The IMVU Team"
Of course there is absolutely no information in this message and I have asked questions constantly. They have yet to give any further reply. They wont talk to me. I only got that one automated reply.
I have to pay taxes on these funds I'm being dangled in front of me like a carrot on a stick that I don't seem to be able to even withdraw. Why wont they reply? Why is it impossible to get any information without paying a crazy amount of money? Why is there a paywall behind support for their creators in the first place? Does IMVU want to keep from paying out their creators? I'd like to know what's going on. I'm debating deleting my account because I don't want to have to pay taxes for money I'm not even getting. Have you gone through this? What did you do?

IMVU will do everything in their power to keep from paying you your money, yes. You know how companies employ tactics to increase profit margins? Not paying creators is one of them. They have milked creators for every dime they can, pushing each and every one of them away. Don't expect change. IMVU has no plans on the platform being around for a long time with these tactics. It's sad.
I do hope you get what you're owed. I'm happy to hear you quit, I don't have much longer here myself. Can't wait to join you.

They only changed the VIP requirement I believe last year which is in itself a money grab to fleece creators of even more hard earned money. There has been many discussions about this very thing.
