Does this mean that all the NFTs must be from unique meshes from out own shop or directly from imvuofficial shop? We cannot derive and texture other creators meshes?

Hi @BunnyCakes Thank you! I guess I can imagine how this works, since NFTs are not purchased with credits, there's no credits to distribute to each creator in the derive tree. I can adjust! I see potential in this supporting the market for mesh file sales! I'm just afraid of the spammers who want to flood with no change derives, as that would totally diminish the value of NFTs and give them a confusing reputation.
I hope there's going to be a way to collapse duplicate products that are from different uploads. I notice for the PussyRiot NFTs, they do display double duplicates, but with different meanings of course. So, that's a big issue when this will be opened to the public to submit their own. I don't really look forward to that issue if it's left as is.

I think they worded that sentence wrong it should be, " all NTF's must be new meshes derived from IMVU's base products. And no you can not derive NFT's from others and texture them at this time. You can only submit new meshes to create an NFT.

At this time only people making meshes can make NFT. They have to derive from IMVU's base submissions.
In the future they plan on having an option to texture already submitted derivable NFT.
In the future, Creators will need to opt-in to allow others to create an NFT from their products. Creators will only be able to derive from an existing non-NFT item and mint a new NFT item if one of the following apply:
The Creator of the parent product is IMVU (e.g. base product); or
The Creators of the parent products, along with the full derivation history, have specifically opted-in to allow their derivations to be published as an NFT.
In the future when an NFT on IMVU is sold, a royalty will go to the original NFT Creator and is distributed to Creators along the derivation chain if applicable.
