[Archived - RavenGasm] Why is it that when I derive in Studio everything looks real nice, shine, textures and shadowing, but once I pull the item up on imvu its looks, dull and blah. is it me or are others having this issue as well?

I've noticed that NEXT/Desktop/Mobile displays all textures much darker and higher contrasts than how the textures are originally made.

I've made the mistake of trying on and purchasing items in the new shop, but when I switched back to the classic client, I was able to see all the flaws of those items. So I do see the benefits of the way the new platforms view items, they technically make them look much better. Sucks for people who use both platforms though, have to be careful.

I don't expect them to merge the two or discontinue the classic version simply because they've been marketing the classic to those who use systems below Windows 10. There's a really big difference with the new Win versions compared with the older popular ones. I expect them to only discontinue classic imvu when enough people have moved on from the older Win versions.

@LuceEve​ and @RavenBraveHeart​  Not much to add except the IMVU Desktop Beta is being molded into the new Desktop Client for IMVU. It is still in Beta Testing. Eventually the Classic 32Bit Chat Client will go away but as I understand it, this will happen over time (some unknown months or years?).

The new IMVU Studio is the new "Create Mode" product creation tool for Creators. The new features of the IMVU Studio will not be implemented into the older platforms. @RavenBraveHeart​ I do not know any of the plans. I do recall something about getting rid of classic client but that has been put on hold. @LestatDeLioncourt​ could ya help with any info?

oh wow, thank you, now I see the difference, but it will take a bit to get used to this Beta, are they going to merge these?

Are you referring to classic imvu? If so that is how the items will look. All the shine & stuff only shows on studio & beta.
