If you are having issue with Opacity, don't forget about the Priority of the Opacity. Sometimes it needs to be adjusted. There are 3 little dots that bring up the menu to set Advanced Opacity Priority (to the right of "Transparency" and above "Mode"). Change the number there for the material giving an issue. Also double check the Alpha/Composite/Additive transparency type. If you have the other ones you submitted and they work fine, look at them and use the same settings and or Opacity Material(s).

 

The studio should allow you to open projects submitted. There is an issue where it may show many different icons of the same project (previous edits). Use icon farthest down the list. It should be the most current. If you delete the projects in the

Documents/IMVU Studio/#MemberNumber#/#PID#

folder or change them, they may no longer be available (or corrupt) in the Studio. Your Assets from the previous Projects are in those folders and may be copied, saved for backup, etc.

 

As for taking Snapshots, use the little Camera Icon located in the upper Left Corner. It is working for me. The snapshot will be in the folder listed when you take the photo. Read the pop-up box after the photo.

 

The BEST support would be from the Creator of which you are deriving. I highly recommend deriving from creators who frequent their messages and who are active on IMVU. I try to keep in mind, creators who are retired or disabled cannot give support if /when an issue surfaces years down the road many who purchased may be contacting you for issues :/ I also try not to derive from Creators who are on Friends Only, AP Only or do not answer messages for the same reasons.

 

I highly recommend people get most familiar with the IMVU Studio as the the Create Mode has it's days numbered. We do not know of any date for the retirement of Classic Chat / Create Mode but it is best to be prepared, informed and educated on the Studio. Microsoft will eventual stop allowing 32bit applications (Classic) and if that time comes before the Classic Chat is retired, we will be forced to use the Studio by Microsoft just as the newer Mac OS requires 64 Bit apps..

 

I had a time getting used to the IMVU Studio, but after a few projects, it got more familiar to me. Sometimes I got very "FUSS-trated" and walked away only to come back and try again. This I think is normal... Honestly, The Studio is currently a bit more cumbersome to use but IMVU engineers are aware and want the Studio to be the "best of the best" Create tool. They are aware of requests for a more friendly interface.

 

If anyone has ideas or suggestions for the IMVU Studio, Staff are listening :D It is a hard "row to hoe" when you are re-inventing the wheel.

also studio is not saving items at all for me and when i go to edit another item it doesnt show the fit at all shows like nothing on the avi just shows the head. im unable to take a photo either its not working properly at all im considering just deleteing studio and not worry about the shine any more as its not really worth adding all those details to the item if the program doesnt work.

i already submited other ones in other sizes and it worked find but its the one size its giving me issues with and my studio is not saving any of the work i did nor allowing me which i troubleshooted in creating it in regular creator and then opening on studio and it said cant open older files. im not even sure whats going on. and i contact help desk and they arent helpful

im just a lil fustrated and if anyone can help please let me know thanks
