Hi @Jaqueline86013 Understanding Credits or Cash payments for product sales can be confusing. First the earned income from sales are help in a Pended Escrow of 2 weeks. This process helps creators by not having to give income back to IMVU in case of failed transactions. This can happen for many reasons but one common one is failed Credits card purchase or reversed transaction from unauthorized use. Information on Pended Escrow income is Here: http://im.vu/help811
Â
Many years ago, some Creator had to bare the burden of finding ways to payback IMVU after these transactions failed. The 14 day period is a good "buffer" period in protecting Creators and keeping their account in good standing. Some Creators even "bankrupt" due to fraudulent Credit Card transactions and not being able to payback the given income :/
Â
After the 14 Days the earned income is transferred into a holding account. Creators may draw on this income at will by using the Creator Payout System. More on the Payout System Here: http://im.vu/help864
Â
Sometimes we receive payment for products as Predits or Promo Credits. These purchases are awarded to Creators in form of Developer Tokens. "Dev Tokens" or "DTs" are used by Creators for many uses; such as, Deriving New Products, Advertising, etc. Some information on Developer Tokens is located Here: http://im.vu/help620 Promo Credits cannot be transferred from person to person as they are gifted from IMVU to people to promote purchases from the IMVU Catalog. Only real credits are allowed to be transferred.
Â
With all this said, understanding why some sales do not generate regular types of income, we should be able to follow our income reports and see when and where real income will be awarded or has been awarded.
If you find a discrepancy on an item or items that were sold, you can discuss it with IMVU Staff in the Creator Customer Service department. They are always glad to help and have all the private information about your account to best help.
