Over the years, we’ve introduced many new features to IMVU. And in many cases, our community would only see what was being worked on once it was live, or if they were part of a select alpha or beta group.
Now, we’re tearing down part of that barrier and opening up a sneak peek to some of the things we’re working on for our most loyal users.
IMVU Labs is a new feature now available to VIPs on IMVU Web, and acts as a “test environment” for new features we’re introducing to IMVU rooms. You’ve already seen some of our new scripted room features in the last few months – such as the Fall Fashion Show room, and Winter Wonderland room.
As we continue adding new features to rooms using the in-development scripting tools, IMVU Labs will allow VIPs the opportunity to see the types of things that are being worked on, try them out, and directly communicate with our engineers working on the rooms to provide feedback, ideas, or just ask questions on how things work.
We’ll continue adding new rooms to IMVU Labs and announce on our social, Discord, and blog when we do. Previous event rooms will be available again there, and we have rooms under construction that will do things like introduce social games and other new elements for you to enjoy.
Later, our plan is to invite interested Creators to participate in the IMVU Labs program and try their hand at using the new scripting tools to create new modes, experiences, items, and games for other members of the IMVU community to enjoy.
