Here are some ideas that I have that would make IMVU mobile’s experience a lot smoother, for old and new users alike
(These suggestions are only for Mobile version, not Desktop):
1.) If, when looking through "Inventory", the search bar to find specific items by name, can be brought back. It takes way too long to scroll through items you’ve accumulated over the years.
2.) Allow users to shop from within a room. This makes it so that a user never has to leave the room they are in, or miss a moment with their friends for having to leave. (What this would look like: A "Shop" tab in the top right’s arrow drop down, just like how "room info", "invite to chat", "tutorial", etc is shown)
3.) Shop a creator's catalog while in a room from their profile card, underneath their displayed items. This kind of goes along with my idea #2, but instead of using the "Shop" tab in the dropdown, a tab "Shop" would be under the displayed items shown on their profile card. This would increase publicity more efficiently, and immediately, for any creator trying to promote their catalog.
4.) If when in a live chat/chat room, the VB's audio that go along with the animation triggers can be added, however, a settings option with a slider allowing you to manipulate the volume of the VB. This would help prevent audio over audio while on the mic in a live room, or to prevent annoying noises or VB spamming you dont want to hear.
5.) If there can be a new reward/achievement cosmetic on mobile for users who have been a member for more than 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, etc. or, like how desktop version is, with multiple colored backgrounds.
6.) If you are messaging someone, it makes you have to leave wherever you are located on iOS, but Im not sure if it is the same for Android. Can this be fixed?
7.) Can a “Restore last chat session” option be added for when:
logging back into the game after a crash has occured.
IMVU happens to be down and users lose network connection.
If you deliberately/accidentally close out the IMVU Mobile app with the current chat still open previous to the closing out of the app.
(This would be like how Google Chrome offers restoring your last session when browsing the internet)
8.) This would probably be least likely to happen but I will suggest it anyways. If there can be a “Become an ambassador for a Creator” program that would allow a Creator to elect 2 people they know to become ambassadors of their entire catalog.
To prevent an ambassador from fraudulently claiming the items as their own, if by any chance that does happen, an ambassador badge would be displayed next to the display name while wearing the Creator’s items, like how the NFT badge is shown after wearing the NFT in a chat.
Another badge would also be on the profile card off to the right where “AP”, “Age Verify”, “Host”, etc. is located.
In the top of the inventory where “All”“Miscellaneous”, “NFT”, etc. is located, there should be a drop down tab under the tab “All”, labeled “Ambassador” that would swap out any category’s items that you purchased, and replacing them with the Creator’s items. This would prevent a fuse of your personal inventory mixing in with the Creator’s catalog. It is also more convenient.
(This includes swapping out “Clothing”, “Body”, “Avatars”, etc.)
There would not have to be a compensation program as the ambassador would already have full access to a Creator’s catalog.
I have been a member of IMVU for 10 years now and I believe these ideas would help already existing, as well as new users signing up.
