We’ve just released a beta update to IMVU Web that enhances your shopping experience, and we’re excited to share what’s new!

We’re taking the familiar Classic shopping experience and elevating it on IMVU Web, with the same improvements coming soon to IMVU Desktop. Now, everything you try on can be purchased instantly with a one-click buy button, streamlining the process for you.

After your purchase, you’ll be prompted with, “Do you want to save it as your current look?,” allowing you to seamlessly lock in your new style.

This update creates a seamless shopping experience, where you can easily access both the fitting room and your inventory to try outfits using a combination of your own items and new shop products, all at the same time.

This is just the first iteration of this exciting change, and as this is a beta release, we'd love your feedback as we continue to polish and refine the experience, both on IMVU Web and in the upcoming release for IMVU Desktop. Let us know how we can make it even better for you!

Update: The new shopping experience has now been released to both IMVU Web and IMVU Desktop!

I keep reading the message over and over and I don't see how this will be any different than it is now. I use classic. I can't uncheck save outfit and it saves it anyway. I buy something other than clothes and it saves it. I have to keep deleting multiples of the same outfit. Sounds like you are adding more to the shop without fixing the already existing problems

In the classic client and web shop, when you hover your cursor over the product icon pic there is a little symbol of a ' flag ( report item)" and " i (for more information) ".  Can that get implemented to the new shop as well? It would really help improve our shopping experience for both the customers and creators. Because there are some products that require more information about the product, for example how to use driving nodes, or there may be other important information that the creator needs to put in product description that would help the customers understand the product better. And also would benefit for mesh creators to share their maps/textures for other creators when they derive.

Lots of times I will be browsing the catalog and while shopping, I will see something that I like to derive from. Or there are times I just want to see how much the product size is. Also, to read the customer reviews. in the classic shop I can see the derivation chain. I like seeing the derivation chains because a lot of times I find the same product but cheaper to buy and/or to derive from.  I can see what other creators have derived from that PID also.

The problem using the new shop is that it is more difficult to find the information as I described above. Currently I have to get the product number, then input that PID in the classic web.

It is a nice change. Users still prefer the classic shopping experience. It would be great if the next changes could be adapted to product icons. Creators usually make animated gif icons (shown on website and classic client), and it is sad we can't choose to show them in next, beta and mobile. Our product icons come with our branding, making things look more unique and attractive.

Another suggestion is for sorting shopping categories. I don't think pets should be in 1st visible category. It should be: tops, bottoms, shoes, accessories, hair, pets... then we can have rooms, nfts...

@Saturi Can you also add the right mouse click "View products in the scene" like in the classic client

Make the option of selecting multiple items in a shopping cart to gift to someone at once instead of having to go through the gifting process over and over for each item.

When will you  fix our inventory. For years we are not able to hide our chosen products. My list is so full after being a creator 17 years here. We hide the item. and it returns seconds later. On going issue thats never been fixed

in the 3D view that would be nice to be able to change the vertical angle also.

There's a bug when you change your outfit and want to come back to the precedent one. It's not possible to do it.

There's an other bug when changing from outfits to outfits.. some items stay on the avatar but are not listed on the items under it.

I would like to congratulate the IMVU team for listening to long-time players! I’ve been playing for a long time, and the new version of IMVU disappointed me because the shop didn’t allow real-time avatar viewing like the classic IMVU. I hope future updates will bring greater realism and practicality to the shopping experience.

I love the idea but the only problem I have with the current shop is when I shop with someone when I pull out furniture after the first piece all the other pop up in the air sideways in shop. Never fails

In the previous version of IMVU loved trying completely new styles in fashion shop with many items at once before purchasing, now I can not do this anymore. The only thing that is allowed is one item and if i want to try more, I MUST buy it to do this inside of the wardrobe.

And also it's entirely impossible to navigate around in the wishlist inside the shop as there are no categories to navigate with, and so the only thing to find one thing in the wishlist is to scroll down, forver...

Oh also.. Some clothing are not even working, so they only look black.

Otherwise the look on the preview on the fashion items looks stunnigly good. As it enhances the look of the quality itself on every item making it easier to see what looks good and what doesn't. Comparing to the previous version with had overly edited pictures and did'nt do the items any justice at all.

Thank you

We need more upgrades for legacy client, give us 60FPS mode. People still prefer legacy client over IMVU next. I hope The AP+ will either free upgrade or 1 time upgrade, non of that subscribtion fee

This is a really great development removing one of the big misses when transitioning from Classic.

I am not 100% on this new FEED format but the arrows that are supposed to move you from photo to photo stop at 7 (clicks) which is annoying if i was to scroll and click hearts ... the other was easier
