Could use some guidance or help. I haven't been able to create since this morning. When ever I try to edit a product in my shop I get the "No JSON" Error. Also when attempting to derive I get "We're Sorry! This product contains invalid asset names." with any item in shop. Chat support has been no help, went through 3 different agents with 4 tickets and no results. I've tried troubleshooting, clearing cache, reinstalling, updating etc. and nothing has worked. Has anyone had this issue and what can I do?
Just an update: Thank you guys for your help. I ended up doing my own digging these past few days and found out my whole system was corrupted. Had to do a reinstall of Windows and got everything swept. Classic Create is now back up and running.

@Drosselmeyer Thank you for looking into this. This issue only happens in Classic Create, which is where I prefer to create. I'm not too familiar with Studio.

Thanks @Mapp for sending your files. I will have a look. Question: Are you getting the same errors in both Classic Create and IMVU Studio?
Thanks @LeStat for pitching in and helping @Mapp!

Can you derive the product Fresh?
If that works, it is possible that your "Data Files" became corrupt or deleted by some method. If anything in the Documents > IMVU Studio Folder is changed by anything other than the Studio... The last thing to try would be to "Zip" your project folder and send it to the Engineers in an email. [email protected]
Usually, you can identify the correct product folder by its contents (things you edited added to your derive). Sometimes you can figure out what folder by inspecting the names (Names or PIDs). Open your Documents folder and see the projects there. Look for the sub-folder with the most recent date modified. Look and determine if the contents correlate to the broken product.
Zip the Folder and email it to [email protected]. In your email, point to this post here and give a brief explanation of what is going on. More information on the issue can be included for Staff in your email by zipping up the Log Files. Include these too.
Look in the folder %appdata%\imvu-studio Find the files named imvu-studio.?????.log I have 4 of them as in the snapshot below. Zip however many you have and include them in the message.
%appdata%\imvu-studio Zip files named imvu-studio.?????.log1 - Find your project folder.2 - Zip the contents of the product with the issue. 3 - Find the Log Files and Zip them too. 4 - Include both zipped files for staff to examine. attached to your email. 5 - Point to this post and give a brief explanation of the issue in your email. 6 - send to [email protected]
Keep in mind that staff have many things going on daily. They may not have a reply for you until time allows.
I hope this helps...

Hey @LestatDeLioncourt , Thanks for your help, unfortunately I'm still having the issue on IMVU client after all these steps. I remember clearing cache before this issue happened. Is it possible that an important file got deleted in the process?

Hi @Mapp, The Derive is fine from PID 21827792. Okay, last-ditch effort? (from me anyway, grr)
Uninstall the Studio as normal. After go to the following link (copy & paste to Windows Explorer)
%appdata%\imvu-studio
After that, press
<CTRL> + A to select all files/folders and press <Delete>
I would run a Disk Scan of your hard disk to ensure there are no corrupt files and perhaps even run the System File Checker from an elevated or Administrative command prompt. If needed, you can Google these things.
Thanks for your reply, it seems like it's all items in shop when I try to derive that gives me any error. I feel like it's something on my end. I can't even edit or derive my own products. I use this product a lot with no issues in the past until this morning: https://www.imvu.com/shop/product.php?products_id=21827792 Let me know if it works for you.

Hi @Mapp. If you try to open a product to derive for the first time and it gives invalid asset names, talk to the Creator of that product. Other than that, you may give the PID number you are trying to derive and let others try and confirm an error.
Always send the Error Report to IMVU Engineers. This is helpful info, too.
