I mainly could use it for the append animation file. Trying to do things with the old models is a niiiightmaaareeee. Thanks.

The grey mannequins are not standard avatars and are only used for previewing content. To expand a little on the previous reply, both male and female avis use the same underlying skeleton, so aside from making minor adjustments to match custom avatars properly, any animation or pose you create will function correctly regardless of the avi 'shell'.

Hey, sorry I should've responded earlier x) You know how when you preview a pose/animation in shop and you can see the grey mannequins, same as in deco mode? I'm curious if it's possible to change the old avi mannequins that currently populate in blender studio toolkit (under append animation file) and change them out for ones that are the same head/hand/feet scale as those grey ones in shop?

You mean the avis presented to new users when they create accounts? Those are actual products created by Creators IMVU doesn't have the source files for (IIRC). For animation though, you should be fine to pose and animate as normal, then make some adjustments after-the-fact to accommodate any difference that might crop up using different scalers etc.
