I received this in an email about a product that i purchased in good faith thru IMVU, but being penalized, shouldn't they be going after the person or group that are selling things thru IMVU catalogue. I did not go thru any other website nor a specific search for such product. It is not the responsibilty of the buyer to make sure the product being sold is authentic or in IMVU guidelines, that is on IMVU and should be scrutinized from the beginning before it is even allowed to be posted. Not the first time they have gone through my extensive inventory and removed things all bought legitimately by myself.

Imvu has also did that to me saying I purchased a red kiss car from the blackmarket and not to do it in the future..... That car was bought years ago and I forgot about it....It was imvu's store where the car was purchased I never bought anything blackmarket....I only bought things from that imvu store...I didn't know that the car wasn't properly rated or whatever and they take it out on the people who purchase from their store.... It has upset me much how this virtual game does with people who pay money on it...The staff as said send messages but don't leave it open for you to message them back...All people don't go against guidelines...Get the facts straight first before you start blaming people who buy things from your site...Go after the one who created it not the customers...Facts spoken...

I got a message from IMVU official saying one of my items was removed because it was apparently from the black market, I've never even used the black market so this is just super odd to me they didn't even tell me what item was removed, I always purchase from the IMVU catalog so I'm not sure

I think that everyone knows what they buy and what they don't, and perhaps what they are given, and I say this because there are many people who use the IMVU roulette wheel, which gives out very random things, as if they had no control over it. I believe that each person who owns their account has the most accurate knowledge of everything they have obtained from the store, and it is no coincidence that more than one person agrees, so it is not just a matter of “common sense,” and if that were the case, there are many people who are unaware of even the most basic rules of IMVU products, although those who have been around for a long time probably are not.

It's stands to reason that anyone with common sense knows if a product they bought or were gifted is UFI, extremely inappropriate, or has a severely improper rating.
If one is gifted such a product then one needs to report the message with the gift so action can be taken against the person whom gifted the product.

I guess by sending a ticket with the product that caused the antivirus to activate so they can review it, since sometimes reporting directly to the product doesn't get things done very quickly.

While browsing the IMVU catalog several months ago, my antivirus caught an item that had a virus of some kind attached to it. I actually messaged someone on IMVU about it when it happened. Where do we report that? Again, IMVU should go through their own catalog and clean it up.

That message just came to me, and I've never bought anything outside of the IMVU catalog. I don't even know what the item was, and they don't let you know specifically what it was. They just leave you an automated message and that's it!

This just happened to me. I never, NEVER, buy anything except through the IMVU catalog. IMVU should go through their own catalog and clean it up rather than threatening customers. I'm sure if IMVU were to examine any receipts of items I have purchased, they would discover I only purchase items through the IMVU catalog.

IMVU is running a very selective scam. I'm fully convinced. They make some money off a user's purchase, then they ban select users... but not all user's. Just enough of them. They're saying they can't just simply remove the item and refund you, or have you buy other items that equal the same amount? No they just ban someone for a crummy reason. It is a scam.
Dear Starlightrae
A product in your inventory, 2023 SINGLE ANIMATED, has been removed because it was improperly rated in our catalog in accordance with IMVU's Virtual Goods Rating Policy. While we try our best to help content creators rate their products properly, on occasion, a product's rating needs to be changed in order to provide the best experience for IMVU's diverse community.
Due to the extreme nature of this product, we are not issuing refunds to its purchasers. These kinds of products are usually purchased on the 'black market'. Please do not seek this extreme content in the future. For more information about how products are rated and what products are allowed and not allowed at IMVU, please see our Virtual Goods Rating Policy.
Thank you for your continued support,
Your Friends at IMVU
