Pro Status Should Be Earned Through Creation, Not Social Metrics

Hello again,

This may be one of the most important issues yet — because it strikes at the heart of why many of us are here: to create.

I’ve been told that I can’t gift my own products to my alt account. Instead, I’m “encouraged” to send them to friends or other users — not for genuine sharing, but because it’s tied to how you award points toward Pro status. In other words, IMVU is incentivizing us to spend more, gift more, and post more — all while downplaying what actually matters: our work.

Let me be clear: I don’t believe that to earn Pro status I should be required to:

  • Participate in Next

  • Make endless forum posts

  • Gift products to people I don’t know just to get credit for them

I came here to create. I’ve spent years building up a catalog with over 70,000 items. That’s not an exaggeration — that’s my reality. And yet, I see accounts with 20 items who are awarded Pro status, simply because they engage more in Next or post more in forums.

Meanwhile, I bring in original meshes — content I built — and they’re not even counted toward Pro metrics. But others can take a template from someone else, make a slight edit, and get rewarded for it. That’s not right. It’s not just unfair — it’s discouraging.

On top of that, I refuse to post photos on Next just to play the social media game. I've had too many people stalking me, sending me inappropriate messages, and propositioning me, all because they saw my activity there. I don’t care about followers. I don’t want to be chased by strangers. I want to build and sell great content — that’s what should matter.

Pro status should be based on:

  • What we make

  • How much we sell

  • The effort we put into our catalogs

That’s it.

We already pay for VIP, AP, and other add-ons. We shouldn't have to waste extra time in unrelated features or forced community programs just to earn what we’ve already earned through hard work.

Please consider modifying this system. Let Pro status reflect the creators, not the social posters. We all deserve a system that respects our time and our contributions.

Thank you,
