Count Down To Shut Down OF Classic Or Is IMVU Completely Finished?

 like to know just what is going on with Classic, from management. The mail don't want properly, 2 factor ID not working correctly,  Sign in denying correct passwords, Music store not working in months but still taking money. It looks like the site is struggling to stay alive on life support. Question is: Are we in the count down to shut down classic or is IMVU about to pull the plug completely? Myself and others don't want a corporate  scripted jibber  jabber answer. We want the facts  about these issues and considering what the consumer has been putting up with the answers need to come from the Top.

i like to old IMVU can't just being it Back that's  wye i fell in love with the 3D game desing it's not fun to play now or cool to look at .

If they stop classic they will have yet anoter major mass exodus if they do that then they mells why just shut it down most do not want to use their phones to use vu I know if the do ill cut my thousands spents over 16 years and tell them shove it

I did see post by Creator Staff/IMVU couple years ago stating IMVU Classic wont be supported when Windows stops supporting Windows 10 and will be phased out replaced by Desktop - So there is no conspiracy that other IMVU members are posting rumors just to be brats - 

This is currently on the internet ---->Yes, there are indicators that the 
IMVU Classic Client is being phased out and may be fully transitioned away from by October 2025. 

I'm only posting this in case there are Creators that do not want to transition to Studio/Desktop if in fact Client Version will not be available for creating -

why are they bothering to release new versions of Classic client when with each new release there is more and more that is broken and more features that do not work in communicating between Next/Desktop and Classic and they are not being addressed ... now if there are users on Desktop or Next that gift me I am getting blank messages in inbox on the Classic client.  There is no sense reporting these issues to their so-called Support Desk either -- they have teenagers who are given scripts who do not have any skill or training in troubleshooting at all and they do not escalate your ticket to anyone who can actually resolve issues -- sadly it's all a joke and a waste of time.

Someone mentioned hearing about this 2 years ago. I did as well. I have mentioned it to everyone who will listen but "old timers" dont' seem to want to believe this would ever happen. It became obvious with the release of IMVU Desktop which, in reality, is just as horrible as trying to use mobile which is a total joke unless you are between 13 and 18. As has been mentioned, those of us who have spent into the thousands of dollars over the past 15 years, there is no recourse unless, as someone suggested, we file a class action suit. That may or may not work. I'm willing to entertain any and all suggestions.

I have been constantly having issues with classic & studio. I have been on here since 2009 with over 20,000 products in my catalog.

Paying long time customers (we are talking 15 years +) of Classic client are losing functionality and access to products they have payed for - and you are blocking this access so you can release these features as subscriptions in the Desktop/Mobile platforms.  IMVU admin have shutdown access to Flash Radios for music, access to music and even making it next to impossible to have over 10 people in a public room - because our DJing and other music streaming festivities that we make use of in IMVU you see as a cash cow and are trying to monopolize on for profit - unbelievable.  You are catering to a teenage crowd on their mobile phones and meanwhile robbing functionality and support (if I dare say it even exists here) from your long time loyal client base of adult users that are the ones who have invested the $$$ and made IMVU what it is.  This platform is grossly mismanaged and likely will fast be losing any market share if this keeps up.

you know i thought this was just rumor someone mention 2 years ago, i didn't know this was true, what the actually fuck, if imvu shutdown classic, that's the biggest downfall of imvu, who's moving to desktop version, like let's be for real here this might be biggest blow to imvu if their shut down classic for good and everyone moved on this another sim like second life that's one way to killed your own sim

So now on top of them taking away all of our music for good...now they ate shutting their phones down on top of it all..and did it really sneaky and undercover so the very least amount of people would find out and know about it so they wouldnt have to take any complaints or heat about it from us...just like how they didnt tell us about the music either...so now we wont be able to get a live person to talk to on the phone anymore..I had to find out myself from a rumour going around from one of my friends and I called IMVU myself and she put on an act like she didnt know the phones were being shut down June 1st...she told me to hold so could "verify" that it was true..in reality she went and asked her manager if it was now alright to tell the customers this news,,,she slipped up and told me that her manager granted her permission to tell me..3 days before they are being closed down !!!! She knew they were  going to be disconnected and they were told not to inform us...Unbelievable !!! We will have to now rely on the live chat which none of them ever know anything and never have any answers or solve anything on it....for hacking issues,losing account issues and billing and credit card issues as well..can you imagine??? Soon they will shut even that down and will only be reached by email..No music, no customer support, website glitches all over the place..and they are phasing out the classic client for good soon,,which is the only reason most of us even stay on this mess of a website for...When the classic client goes, that will be the death blow for IMVU..its almost over now...Still now word on what they are doing with all the music we had taken from us that we paid for...thats being covered up as well and they keep acting like they dont know anything yet...

I think it is time for another lawsuit , like the one the devs had back in the day, and the one that happened about 10yrs ago when they took away almost all of the music without reimbursing anyone. Only a handful of people got reimbursed in the thousands of dollars. It was not fair then, and it is not fair now. This is consumer fraud at it's highest. Time for legal action. As for the teens on here? Well it is not the teens that are paying anything for this site to operate. It is the adults. The people that are working. Time for another class action lawsuit in my opinion.

My backup plan? I moved my main club Serenity onto 3DXchat. At least there I will not lose customers due to not being able to play music to entertain them. Actually cost less there, and I do not have to worry about non adults entering the club. IMVU is a sinking ship now. Once Classic is gone, either everyone id forced to change, or leave, and that is what is currently happening. IMVU has lost close to half of its customer base, but they will not tell anyone that. They were hoping to keep everyone happy by offering AP+ of which has not even been implemented yet to my knowledge. So for the meantime, I will be on and off IMVU, spending more time in my other club on 3DXchat.

I am seriously just wanting to freaking scream every time goes on with the Classic Version. ASultryWoman , Now you can not even edit your mixes , nor does your music list or the store comes up on the website. IMVU is failing all across the board to keep what LONG term and faithful customers of the Classic Version morbidly satisfied. Now there is streaming on the Beta Desktop version and the music store is no longer working in the Classic Version... Hmmm... I would rather not be snowballed into thinking IMVU is not contemplating on deleting the Classic Version all together without any notifications to it customers. So that only the BETA version remains . How disrespectful . 

MrNathanLadds , even if IMVU lost a contract with one music provider , would it not be only common sense to notify the IMVU community of this ?  Instead they have us scratching our head , letting us think is something on the the side of the user and not on IMVU until multiple people start complaining. I am not an user of the BETA desktop version , I do not even like the mobile version I have had to change my eye glasses 2x in the last 3 years because the phone screens are not as wide enough to get the whole room and the tap screen is so freaking sensitive and it takes quite longer then it still takes longer to see the other avatars in the room. 


Like stop blowing smoke , stop ignoring your customers , answer our concerns. It is more frustrating not know what is going on then it is knowing and not having any backup plans.

Not only has the music store been shut down, but now all radios have ceased to work. All because IMVU lost a contract with the music provider.
