Another program interfered with the download, my AVG antivirus sent something to quarantine, not once but twice, so either AVG has beef or you have something named the same as a known virus, at least I hope that is all it is, and you're not doing something shady

Hi, @ xXAngelwings01Xx @Atlantisgirll, If IMVU Classic fails to update due to errors during download, several troubleshooting steps can be tried. First, ensure the computer has sufficient free space and that temporary files are cleared. Also, running the installation file as an administrator might help. Compatibility mode for older Windows versions or a clean boot can resolve conflicts with other programs. If problems persist, consider downloading an older version of IMVU from a trusted source like Uptodown if the current version is incompatible.
Detailed Troubleshooting Steps:
1. Free Up Space and Clear Temporary Files:
Ensure your computer has enough free space on the drive where IMVU is installed.
Clear temporary internet files and cache in your web browser, as it can sometimes interfere with downloads.
Clean up your computer's temporary folder. Open the temporary folder and delete all files and folders within.
2. Run as Administrator:
Right-click on the downloaded IMVU installer file and select "Run as administrator".
This can help bypass any permissions issues that might be causing the download to fail.
3. Install in Compatibility Mode:
Right-click the IMVU installer file, then select "Properties."
Go to the "Compatibility" tab and check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for."
Choose a compatible older Windows version (like Windows 8/8.1) from the dropdown menu.
4. Perform a Clean Boot:
This can help determine if other programs are interfering with the IMVU download.
Press "Windows key + X key", select "Run", type "msconfig" and hit "Enter".
Go to the "Startup" tab, open "Task Manager," and disable all startup items.
Restart your computer and try the IMVU update again.
5. Consider an Older Version:
If the latest version is causing issues, you can try downloading a previous version of IMVU from a trusted source like Uptodown.
Ensure the downloaded version is compatible with your operating system.
6. Contact IMVU Support:
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, contact IMVU Support directly.
OK, it seems they mean log out, then log back in again to accept, but as I was already logged in, it was not clear to me, although again it is a bit weird, my antivirus stopped it before, but I remember the same thing happened last time
