I have been thinking about how to make my avatar feel more like me, not just in appearance. For those who design avatars often, what parts do you focus on to show who you are - the outfit, face, movements, or story behind it? I would like to hear your thoughts!

For my avi, in addition to the general physical characteristics that I try to capture to make them realistic, I really like to reflect my personal tastes. This translates into choosing poses and actions that feel natural to me, such as a specific sitting position or expressions like laughter or "classic punches" that represent me. The accessories I choose are also usually inspired by my usual wardrobe, avoiding those I wouldn't normally wear unless I'm creating something themed.
I also want my avatar to convey my positive energy, so I always choose a base with a calm face and a relaxed smile.
Finally, I highly value the consistency and quality of the details in the products I select, preferring these types of finishes over the final appearance of the object.

Well, to be honest, it's something I was just thinking about yesterday while making some changes to my appearance. It wasn't so much a change in mood, but rather a small change in my expression that, while still smiling, shows more seriousness. However, I like the idea as long as my head/face structure stays the same (I don't like to radically change my avatar's base appearance). The problem is that I haven't yet found a way to do this consistently without having to change my head.
There's another thing I also do, which we haven't mentioned, which is creating rooms that identify me and are the ones I ultimately feel most comfortable in. Visiting other rooms is like taking a walk, but my extended stay will always be in my rooms.
P.S.: I love entering rooms where this is very obvious. Beyond the theme, you can feel a personal touch in the elements that compose it.

Thanks for sharing @Krimen! I really loved your point about incorporating your personal tastes through expressions and accessories. That bit about choosing a relaxed smile to reflect your positive energy really resonated with me, it’s such a subtle yet powerful way to bring you into your avatar. I am also starting to see how poses and gestures can say just as much as outfits. Now I am curious, do you ever switch up your avatar’s mood depending on your day or the vibe you're going for?
