To add to the conversation, reporting the issue is always welcome at IMVU Support. They are always there for us, no matter what. Unfortunately, IMVU will govern over Sales made through the standard Catalog Purchase System only. I have never known IMVU to get involved in private contract sales.

Any Creator who does not honor a private contract can only be regarded as a "Bad" Creator and should be avoided. I know this sounds bad for you, but over time the Creator will lose sales and their reputation will follow them to their own demise.

Hi @DylanRoseWood if you and the IMVU creator had a clear agreement or contract stating that the room or clothing would be exclusive to you and not sold to anyone else, then the creator is expected to honor that agreement, especially after you’ve paid. Changing the terms after payment and making the item publicly available would be a breach of that agreement. If this happened, you have every right to raise the issue with the creator directly, and if necessary, report it to IMVU Support with any proof of the agreement and payment. Always make sure to keep records of conversations and transactions for situations like this.
