One might ask why they would remove such a feature,
especially when they promote requiring it,
& most Users have wanted it for some time now,
yet they won't provide it, & more importantly they
are also making searching mechanics completely
less reliable & Have a lot less functionality, too...

As a mod in several GA rated rooms I occasionally need to warn or even boot adults who refuse to take into account that a child is in the room or has recently loaded into the room. Some adults in GA rated rooms contribute to the delinquency of minors by chatting about adult topics; all from current news events too graphic for children to politics or "420". If they chat about AP topics they will get reported and booted even if no children are there.

In other GA rated rooms where I am a mod the room rules state that no one under 18 is allowed. In those rooms the owner wants children to be booted to protect the free speech rights of adults.

Not all adults have upgraded accounts with age verification or AP. These adults make up the bulk of IMVU users and they have a right to use GA rated chat rooms.

Maybe in the room mangement setup to create chat rooms the room owners should have more filters of whom can enter their rooms. One such filter could be an age bracket; example: 18 to 35 (to keep out the "boomers") or 35+ (to keep out the "kids"). This will remove some but not all of the burden from the mods. Mods will still need to use their character assessment and judgment skills to be on the look out for individuals who act out in ways that hint at dishonesty and inconsistencies; in this case age.  

and because, of course, NOBODY underage ever LIED about anything, ever.

IMVU, you're so delusional that it's a farce to call yourself a customer service focused company.

maybe if you actually ENGAGED with your users, rather than doing whatever you do and ignoring your customer base, you might actually find your work is a lot easier.

Or, just keep on doing what you're doing, and we'll see how long it takes for vu to collapse altogether.

I want to make sure I’m clear, so we who have kids on vu, that are actual kids, we can no longer have them as kids until they are 18??? I get protecting minors but this was the worst blanket, money hungry idea I’ve seen yet!! remove who came up with this hairbrained idea my child is actually ME! it’s my account! smh this is too much. crack down on the actual pedos instead of making all of us pay.

The comment of "nothing major ever happens " has to be a joke right? This person can not be serious? Tell that to the parents who has had their children kidnapped, beaten, raped & murdered by people online who were only friends. 

i don't like that because i have several older friends because they simply don't leave it as it was,nothing major ever happens and now i simply can't talk to my friends normally anymore,because of this stupid situation,i expected more from you imvu owners,honestly now the game has completely lost its charm because i can no longer talk to my friends,instead of prohibiting minors from talking to adults,you should fix the bugs in the game that you never fix.

I think its way to Imvu win more money from people.
Now a lot of people will buy Age verification.
Because its funny, Already have a lot of teenagers using AP with account +18.
And also have a lot of P3D0 using -18 account.
