I’ve spent years on IMVU, and I made one honest mistake — I accidentally typed 500,000 instead of 523 for a room dev fee. It processed instantly, with no warning or confirmation. I ended up losing 1,000,000 credits total for two rooms that no one will ever buy, because no room costs that much.
IMVU said it was my fault and they won’t reverse it. I’ve supported this platform for years. Now I feel used and ignored.
I can’t do this anymore. It feels like I was robbed, and nobody cares.
If you’re a creator, please be careful — because one click can cost you everything, and IMVU won’t lift a finger to help you.

Wait... did you derive it after you didn't notice you posted a huge derive fee? Confused me when reading because it sounded like you think you have to pay our own derive fee while submitting the derivable mesh. Anyways! I would call their headquarters or use their vip LIVE customer service chat to speak to an actual living human being during their California business hours they're open. The email customer service feature seems like talking to just an Ai app, like most of the companies offering these days, skip that.

I need to clarify something that seems to have been completely misunderstood.
The credits I lost were not from earnings — they were from a mistaken dev fee when I submitted two rooms. I accidentally input 500,510 credits instead of 523, and it went through immediately with no warning, no confirmation, and no ability to reverse it.
Your previous response stated that I will "earn that money as real money" once it’s added to my payout. That is not true. These items are now unsellable due to the inflated prices. I will never recover what I lost — but IMVU has already profited from this error. That is what hurts the most.
In total, I lost 1,001,750 credits, which is equivalent to nearly $600 USD. This was a mistake I reported immediately, and yet I’ve been given no real support — only copy-paste replies. If the situation were reversed, and a user had taken that much from IMVU, their account would be closed instantly. So why is there no accountability when the mistake is on our side?
I have been a loyal creator for 17 years. I’ve worked hard — sometimes 16 hours a day — building content, supporting this platform, and helping bring it to life. All I asked for was to re-submit my rooms at the correct cost. Instead, I’ve been dismissed, misinformed, and left heartbroken.
I no longer have faith in this system. I will continue to share my experience with others who deserve to know the risks we creators face — the risk of losing everything with no warning, and no help.
I respectfully request that this case be escalated to a supervisor who has the ability to actually review the logs and understand the reality. Because what happened here is not a policy issue — it’s a failure to protect the very people who keep your marketplace alive.

With regards to the derivation fee used on the items, we're unable to get back the credits used since the earnings of your shop has been sent to real money.
You will be earning the credits used as real money once it gets added to the amount available to be requested.

I know how to get in touch with them and this should be open for all to see that if you make a mistake that imvu will not help you but if it was them that made the mistake they would take our credits in a heart beat. I am sorry but you as us to come here and they send us here. it just a round and a round. I hate even coming to this forum you all control what we say just like this. I have no respect for this company at all. I only come here now to help those that I have supported for 17 years trying to help them and the day I made a huge mistake and get no help.. You all scared someone might just see that imvu is greedy and wont help us. Open this so others can see how you all take care of us I have talk to this in tickets that took my credits and will not return them. They made sure that got paid!!!
