would be cool to be able to edit our product page (for example adding our products icons of certain collection) without having to go through peer review, yes we made an edit to the product, but its not that significant change when its only adding the product html codes for the icons .. this would def reduce the volume of ppl waiting in live chat to pass their items that have already passed but now they gotta re pass them cuz of that tiny HTML page edit
We can only guess at the reason why IMVU requires a product to pass peer review again if the product shop icon or the HTML coding to the product webpage are edited at a later date..
I am guessing that the Icons and webpage also need to pass a peer review to make sure that the icon and or webpage are appropriate for the product rating.
A product can fail if a icon or webpage is inappropriate. I know because I have failed numerous products that were VERY INAPPROPRIATE, had VERY INAPPROPRIATE Shop Icons and VERY INAPPROPRIATE product names. These products were so INAPPROPRIATE that I saved screenshots as evidence.
I help BUST the same developer for 27 products which I saw in peer review within a 4 day period. All of those 27 products shared a common theme in product names and product shop icon images. The names and images were SO INAPPROPRIATE that I am afraid to post them to the forums because doing so might get me in VERY SERIOUS trouble.
. . . But I can probably give a hint:
In the 1930s there was a national socialist movement in Germany that rose to power through populism and then declared war on several countries in Europe and later war on other countries outside Europe. This unnamed warmongering power also committed a genocidal holocaust on folk of Jewish heritage and several other populations like folk of Romani heritage.
It's understandable why humanity practices Damnatio Memoriae on some names, things, and ideologies.
The products were mostly related to outfits and resembled uniforms. There were insignia and other markings on these outfit items that were VERY INAPPROPRIATE. There were also furniture items that were of a VERY INAPPROPRIATE nature; like this old school WW2 motorcycle + sidecar with a double barrel machinegun which in itself wasn't inappropriate but the decal logo markings were VERY INAPPROPRIATE.
The screenshots were for evidence incase this developer was not expunged and purged.
The sheer volume of products that I failed did cause me some problems because it looked suspicious to the AI system even though each item that I failed was rewarded with additional promo credits and a message thanking me. Lucky for me was that the Staff of IMVU responding to my help ticket agreed with me once they investigated the case. Ever since I was allowed to peer review again I haven't felt like it.....
