Hello, the best way to check if a 4-letter username is available is to search directly through IMVU.
On IMVU Desktop, you can search for a username in the "Find People" section.
On IMVU Next, you can search for a username in the "People Search" section.
You can also check if a username is available by asking in IMVU Live Chat if you have VIP.
Keep in mind that many short usernames may already be taken. Some available premium usernames can also be purchased through IMVU’s Premium Names page: https://www.imvu.com/premium_names/

Hello! Okay...do you have a name change token? If you are trying to change your name, it requires a name change token. That can only be purchased through IMVU. That is the only way to change your name. Once you choose a name, it is yours until you want to change it again. Then you must purchase another name change token. Remember, pick a name you can live with because you cannot edit it.

Hi, I just created an account and I want to change my username—I want to keep the same name but just remove the "2" from it. Can I do that? Can you help me with this? I can't seem to remove the "2" from the name (the account is "oiis2"). Could you help me out?

Sometimes taken names can almost be duplicated if one is creative with letters and numbers.
Some examples:
The number 1 looks like lower case L or upper case i
The number 5 looks like S
The number 6 looks like upper case G
The number 8 looks like upper case B
The number 9 looks like lower case G
A zero 0 looks like an upper case O
The letters I and l look similar
The letters q and g also look similar
