I purchased vip but IMVU cancelled it and still charged me the amount. So I either need help with getting a refund or getting vip. The money has been took from my bank

Folk who read and post in the forums can neither get you refunds nor VIP.
You will have to either call your bank and get the payment cancelled or contact IMVU and get them to honor the purchase.
If the real problem is that IMVU haven't yet responded to the help ticket or taking too long between subsequent replies then all we can do is tell you to be patient because it usually takes 3 to 5 weeks for replies.

Now this explains a lot and most likely the reason why your payment never successfully reached IMVU. Your payment is probably stuck in no mans land.
Let me explain:
Sometimes PayPal payments get caught in limbo and just sit there instead of get transferred to the intended recipient. Eventually such payment end up being returned.
The problem can usually be fixed by updating the PayPal account. Make sure that PayPal has the latest information; especially if you have been issued new credit cards since last time that PayPal was successfully used.
Also make sure that you have renewed the PayPal user agreement and terms of service contact that all customers have to accept. They recently made a new version of that agreement. Any old customer of PayPal needs to do this again or payments will fail to transfer. While on that topic; IMVU recently made new user guidelines which every IMVU user needs to accept if they haven't yet done so.

Refunds require that a payment was made also that refund might take time for IMVU to transfer it back to the bank. The bank probably won't register the refund until they receive the funds back. It might be a good idea to contact the bank every few days and inquire if the money was refunded or tell the bank to call you when it does.
If your help ticket is still open and depending on the reply you get then you can reply back within a week before the help ticket auto closes. If they honor the purchase or refund the money then it won't be necessary to reply back, then just let the help ticket auto close.
BTW What method was used to pay?
