Runway Passes will be required to enter challenges, so we gifted everyone 25 Runway Passes to submit their first outfit! 


This feature is still in pre-release mode, so your feedback means everything to us. If you spot a bug or have ideas to make the challenges even better, visit our Official Discord, and post in the dedicated Outfit Challenges channel.

This is my 2nd review on this, my first one was an expression on how I think this awhile things is a great idea for the game, but this time I want to share concerns.

I don’t think it’s fair that we are able to submit more than two submissions for a theme. I believe it’s making it hard for others who don’t quite want to constantly buy credits but would like to earn them with this fun challenge. 

It’s become a greedy/hoarding of the opportunity itself. While it’s strategic to submit multiple looks or even the SAME look multiple times, it’s not fair for others who are actually putting in effort for the challenge without having to continually buy credits and passes they’ll need in order to surpass those who are capable of staying on top of the chart.

To sum up what I’m saying, I personally think it would be fair if we could only submit 2 looks per theme. That way it gives others the fair chance to rank higher without having to pay extra money.

Hi, me again. 


I thought I'd provide better clarification on the outfit challenges that require you wear specific things. 


Let's say you open the outfit challenge and you see the following: Put together an outfit with a cape or cloak.You say to yourself "I have a bunch of capes and cloaks! This will be easy!" and so you open the outfit challenge. Immediately it takes you to a suggestions section of items in the shop that WILL guaranteed tick off that checkmark for required item you need to be wearing. Here's one of them in the Attachments (item that is not owned). This item guarantees the check that it suits the required category you need to wear. You might think to yourself "I have an item of this exact same mesh!" so you go looking for it, and you put it on. Here's that image in the Attachments (item that is owned). You can tell that these two products are the same mesh. But one checks off the requirement, and the one I own, does not. 


This is what I mean about this system has a LOT of kinks that you need to work out in the system. Because why is it, that not all items, even if they obviously are the same mesh, the same colour, titled similarly, but one that you don't own satisfies the requirement, and the one you do own, does not. I have tried about six challenges with item requirements, requirements that I obviously meet, but the items I own are not checking off that requirement box, even if they're the exact same mesh, sometimes the exact same item just uploaded by a different dev, as something that does meet the requirement.

Thoughts: I like this idea. I've played around with a few of the challenges. I want to say this is satisfying, but it can be VERY aggravating. There are a lot of kinks to work out with this. Many outfit challenges require you wear certain things, and the rules on what those things are appear to be too vague to satisfy and might cause confusion. I do understand that this could be very difficult to "read" what a person is wearing to see if it meets a product's specifications. That too should be worked out. You have a tank section, but not all tank tops are alike.

For example: One challenge might say, you need to put together an outfit that contains a Tank Top with Tats. You might own ten tops that satisfy those exact words, the words tank top, and tats, might even be in the name of the item. But you put that item on, and it does not seem to satisfy the checkbox as an item being a tanktop with tats. Perhaps either some specification, or more leeway on being able to read an item that a user is wearing is in fact what you're looking for, is in order. Another example. Another challenge asks for you to submit an outfit where you are wearing a watch. Let's say you own 6 watches, and not all of them are considered a watch to check the box off. I hope this gets fixed in the future, because having the items that SHOULD satisfy the items required, but them not checking the boxes, can get quite irritating. 


P.S.: Yes. I agree, the Messages icon should be put back to where it used to be. And this feature could be moved into the Dress-Up or Rewards section.

It seems to me its just another way to make money for IMVU, I have been here to long, seen so much and I am truly tired Of this platform you guys have taken this game back to the Simms, You forget there are real adults here that spend real money and its not the teens, You guys focus on Next Who cares about next only reason I go there is to see the stream,, Photos of myself. my friends, my picks Not your. Jaxxin  said it best.

I can't view my styling results. When I go to results it take time loading than kick me out of the app.

While I love this new feature and believe it to be the best thing IMVU ever offered, It has its issues. Like my first two looks was rated 5 stars but went down to 4.11 and has been there ever since. I’m not sure if it’s a bug, or error but it suck that my ratings went down after some hours of the FINAL scores of the two looks came out.

The update to relaunch this for everyone is stupid. Not everyone cares about this crap just like not everyone plays runway!  This platform use to be great. Over the years you keep wrecking it. You obviously are trying to kill it off. Most of us don't care about NEXT, its difficult to move around, its basically just a larger mobile version. NOW, instead of making mobile better you just mess it up. Please put the messages button back where it was. Move the stupid fashion button up where notifications is or ask your engineers to stick it in with rewards or something. You basically forced us into VIP to avoid ads, because you crash out or get kicked out while waiting for ads to play. I doubt the crowd you are catering to, is the crowd that is paying for credits.. Maybe you hope they will start buying them? Idk, if feels to me like you pocket the profits while screwing your user base.
