I'm talking about a room you put in a public slot, but it's set up in a way where the only way you can find it is by me inviting you in, or someone has the URL to the room.
I wanted to set up a room for a few friends to use, but not have it show up in searches, so random people can't find it. Is that still around?

Yes, you can still create a room that does not show up in public search results while allowing specific people to join.
To do this, you can use the room privacy settings:
Set the room to “Friends Only” — this prevents random users from finding it in searches.
Invite your friends directly — they can join even if the room isn’t visible in search results.
If needed, you can also share the room’s URL with them so they can join directly.
Make sure the privacy settings are applied before you leave or share the room. With the right settings, your friends can use the room without it being visible to everyone.

Yeah I took a risk and it seemed to work out. I wanted a room I made specifically for a few friends to use, and seemingly it's working. Thank you so much for answering me!

To do this, you need to make sure of the following:
Room Privacy Settings: Set the room to “Friends Only” instead of fully public. This way, random users won’t be able to find it in search.
Room Link/URL: When someone visits or joins your room, the room link (URL) can be shared with friends so they can join directly.
Invites: Use the invite feature within IMVU to send invitations to your friends so they can enter without the room showing up in searches.
If you leave a room in a truly public slot but want it to behave privately, make sure to adjust the privacy settings before leaving it open. “Friends Only” mode is typically the best option for a group of friends to hang out without being visible to random users.
