Hello, I have been a player of IMVU for over 5 years, and I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the lack of evolution on the platform.
The game feels outdated in terms of avatar visual quality. The textures are limited, the lighting system is outdated, and there have been no significant improvements that keep up with current standards.
Many players now rely on external tools and AI to improve their avatars, which highlights a major limitation within the game itself.
This becomes frustrating, especially for players who create content and try to maintain a visually appealing feed. It is discouraging to invest time in the game and not see improvements over the years.
I would like the team to consider improving avatar textures, lighting, and overall realism, as well as adding built-in features that reduce the need for external tools.
The community has evolved, but the game has not kept up.
But does it have to evolve? Perhaps it's that very nature of not fixating on hyper-realism that gives IMVU it's charm. I think of things like OSRS and how extremely dated those graphics are, yet has active users on at any given time that dwarfs IMVU's. Also thinking about IMVU and creators. Sure we could have hyper realistic avatars, yet we would be plunged into 1980's Bugs Bunny landscapes.
