Got this message in my Inbox: "Hey, I really like your profile and if you let me, I would make such an amazing mural out of it! If you don’t mind one of your post could be my inspiring muse for an art project i’m working on for a client. You will be totally get paid for it as well"
I responded back that she could use my profile, but I was not interested in any payment, but would like to see her finished work. Big mistake on my part.
She wrote back that her client insisted on paying me and the amount would be around $600. That amount sounded ridiculously high for a drawing and I knew it was a scam. Plus, why would anyone send you money for a project that was not completed yet? This was screaming SCAM!
Then she asked for my name and email address so her client can forward me the money. I never responded and she unfriended me the next day.
So be aware if anyone wants to give you money for using your profile pic. It's definitely a SCAM.

Never trust strangers and try to avoid talking to them if they initiate or propose some kind of transaction.
As Mommy often said:
Don't talk to strangers
'Cause they're only there to do you harm

I got one of those as well. I immediately blocked and deleted it. I swear, people will try anything these days.
