If I share a room with a friend but I own the room and have the room set as FRIENDS ONLY. Will the person I share a room with be able to have their friends come in too? or is the list exclusive to me and my friends only?

Like JustSong said there if you set as friends only, only your IMVU friends list will be able join if they were invited by the owners of the shared room feature.
If it's your room and you make it public and set to friends only, their friends will not be able to come in. However, if YOU were invited to share the room with your friend, they will set the room settings. It depends who actually owns the shared room to start with.
