I notice the extended creator reports have an excellent tool called the merchant scan, however when items that match our unique meshes are found from it, imvu doesn't exactly stop the other creator from doing it again, and rely on us to take the matter outside of imvu, for legal settlements. I've met many who gave up on creating because of this extra work for protecting their imvu content, when it was only supposed to be a fun hobby, not an actual business.
I've heard of some successful creators hiring their own legal team to protect their rights here, and as a small creator, that wouldn't be worth paying for. So it's quite unfair. I thought about smaller creators bounding together, paying a protection fee so if their content is ever stollen, they have help, but then i remembered that people are already paying for VIP to imvu, so why don't they just have it included? A lot of the times, the cases are very obvious and don't need interpretation.
also, considering the effort a person has to do to steal a mesh, I don't think it's fair to give them chances because it was obviously deliberate.
i am currently going through this once, and luckily it's not going to cost me too much, but i feel horrible for those who have been stollen from repeatedly, especially by the same person that imvu gives chances to.
