The best way to improve your followers is to socialize in public rooms, meet people and engage. But in truth, followers don't matter at the end of the day. Most are bots anyway. The amount of followers doesn't define you as a person. Just be a good person and those that appreciate that will come.

Hello, if you want to grow followers, you can spend time in public, active rooms and talk with people. Create an interesting profile as well. IMVU also has users from many time zones, so there is no single “best” hour.
However, you can generally find more activity during the weekends and after school/after work hours depending on the region.
