You can keep a product hidden while you test and develop the product page.
After you submit a product you will be prompted to either Publish the product or keep it Unpublished. An unpublished product will behave similarly to a hidden product in that only you can view it and use it. It cannot be gifted sold or seen by anyone else.
You can also hide an object after it has been peer reviewed and the hide feature will work exactly as it does today.
