In IMVU, every single credit transaction is logged -- from the time you acquire these credits (from a purchase or a gift) up to the moment they are spent. This gives you a complete overview of where your credits are going.

If you notice that your credits are dropping down, it could only be due to two things --

1. The credits have been to purchase items, either for your avatar or as a gift to another.
2. The credits have been transferred to another user.

To find out which is which, you can view your Credits Balance Log. Here's how:

STEP 1. Click on the Account link at the upper-right corner of any IMVU page.

STEP 2. On the right, under Order History, click on View Credits Balance Log.

STEP 3. Set the dates you would like to search by typing out the Begin and End dates. The date format is YYYY-MM-DD. Once you are done, click Update. Note that you can only search up to one month at a time.

When credits are spent, the value in the Amount column will be marked with a negative sign. The Reason column will also register where the credits went. For example, an item gifted to another account will show up as "purchasing for user 123456789". The number is the recipient's Customer ID.

If you were not the one who did the credit transaction in question, then a scammer may have gotten into your account. In most instances of account takeovers, the recipient is the scammer's account. However, this is not always the case. To be sure, you can contact us by chatting or filing a ticket so we can find out if the credits can still be  recovered.
