App permissions allow IMVU to link to your Facebook account or Apple ID, therefore allowing you to use your Facebook or Apple login to sign in with IMVU. Should you need to remove these permissions, do the following steps below.
Removing permission from Facebook
STEP 1. Log into Facebook through your browser or launch your Facebook app and click on the Settings button.
STEP 2. Scroll down and click on Settings.
STEP 3. Click on Apps and Websites.
STEP 4. Select IMVU.
STEP 5. Click on the Remove button and confirm the action by clicking on “Remove” for the second time in the confirmation window.
When you remove these app permissions, attempting to log into IMVU via Facebook will bring up a window asking you to re-grant those permissions. These permissions are handled by Facebook. Removing the permissions would not affect your IMVU install.
Removing permission from Apple ID

STEP 1. On your iPhone, go to Settings, then tap your name.
STEP 2. Tap Sign-In & Security, then tap Sign in with Apple.
STEP 3. Select IMVU, then tap Stop Using Apple ID.
Can I change my email after I unlink my IMVU account from Facebook or Apple ID?
Yes, once you have already removed the IMVU App permission and you still have access to the same email address registered in your Facebook or Apple ID, look for the confirmation email sent by IMVU and click on “Confirm My Email”. Once done, use the email address on the sign-in page and click on “Forgot Username or Password?”. This will allow you to reset your password and login to your IMVU account without signing in with Facebook or Apple.
After successfully logging in, you will be able to change your email address to a new one. Make sure it is active and not associated with other IMVU accounts.
I don't know the email address associated with my Facebook or Apple ID, what should I do?
After you unlink your IMVU account from Facebook or Apple, you will need to contact our Support Team to help you change your email address.
