FAQs
I signed up through Facebook/Apple ID. How can I change my password?
Passwordless login is enabled when your IMVU account is linked to Facebook or Apple. If you need a password, you must first revoke the app permissions. A comprehensive guide on this process is available in our article here.
After removing IMVU app permissions, if you still have access to the email address associated with your Facebook or Apple ID, follow these steps:
- Look for the confirmation email from IMVU and click “Confirm My Email”.
- Use this email address on the IMVU sign-in page.
- Click on “Forgot Username or Password?”. (Important: Please access the password reset link in Incognito mode or on a different browser.)
- This will enable you to reset your password and access your IMVU account without relying on Facebook or Apple credentials.
I don't know the email address associated with my Facebook or Apple ID. What should I do?
If you’re unsure about the associated email, contact our support team for assistance after unlinking your account. You can contact support through Live Chat (for VIP users) or create a help ticket.
I am getting the "Too Many Login Attempts" error. What does this mean?
This temporary lock-out occurs after multiple failed login attempts. If this happens, wait an hour before attempting to log in again.
If you still cannot log into your account after an hour, you can contact support by creating a help ticket.
