Ensuring your account’s security is paramount, and having an updated, verified email linked to your IMVU account is a key step. Follow these simple steps to change your email address across different platforms.

STEP 1. Log into IMVU Desktop or Website and click your profile picture at the upper-right corner, then click Settings.
STEP 2. Click on the Email tab and click Change.
STEP 3. Enter your new email address and IMVU password.
Note: If you have 2FA turned on, you will be asked to enter a verification code sent to your new email address.
STEP 4. After the change, a separate confirmation email will be sent out to the new address. Click the link in the email to complete its registration to your account.
On IMVU Mobile (Android/iOS)
STEP 1. Tap on the Gear icon on the upper-right, beside your profile picture. This will take you to your account Settings.
STEP 2. Tap on Change Email.
STEP 3. Type in your new email address twice, followed by your password to confirm the change.
Note: If you have 2FA turned on, you will be asked to enter a verification code sent to your new email address.

How do I change my email address if I signed up through Facebook or Apple ID?
If you still have access to the email address associated with your Facebook or Apple ID, follow these steps to access to your IMVU account:
2. After confirmation, visit the IMVU sign-in page and select "Forgot Username or Password?" to reset your password. This will enable you to log in to your IMVU account without relying on Facebook or Apple.
3. Once you've successfully logged in, you can update your email address. Ensure the new email is active and not linked to another IMVU account.
If you can no longer access the original email address, please contact our Support Team for assistance. They can help you change your email address after you've unlinked your IMVU account from Facebook or Apple.

I don't know the email address associated with my Facebook or Apple ID. What should I do?
If you’re unsure about the associated email, contact our support team for assistance after unlinking your account. You can contact support through Live Chat (for VIP users) or create a help ticket.
Reminders:
- If you are on the IMVU Classic website, the option to change your email address will direct you back to IMVU Website.
- If you are on IMVU Classic (IMVU Client), the option to change your email address will direct you first to the IMVU Classic website then back to IMVU Website.
- It is important that you verify your new email address to receive the reactivation link if you decide to delete your account.
