What is imvu+?
imvu+ products are the latest products created on IMVU Studio, our new Creator platform. imvu+ products take advantage of new rendering features only visible on IMVU Desktop and IMVU Mobile. imvu+ products can reflect light dynamically and may contain new particle systems, interactive lighting and more.
This new technology results in more realistic looking surfaces and textures when utilized in chat rooms and avatar creation.
How can I tell which product is an imvu+ product in Shop?
Products that are utilizing this new technology from IMVU Studio will be displayed in Shop with an imvu+ badge on the upper right hand corner.
What does it mean if there is an imvu+ badge in Chat?
Chat rooms that have an imvu+ badge displayed on the room image contain dynamic lighting that can showcase your imvu+ products. Use your imvu+ products in these rooms for more realism in your gameplay.
Which platforms are we able to view/purchase imvu+ products?
You can purchase imvu+ products on any platform, and you can view the badge indicating that an item is an imvu+ product on IMVU Desktop and IMVU Mobile.
This badge will not appear on an imvu+ product when shopping or chatting on IMVU Classic (Client); however, the imvu+ product will still be available to purchase or explore on IMVU Classic.
You can also only view the dynamic lighting, shininess effect, and particle system of imvu+ products on IMVU Desktop and IMVU Mobile. You will not be able to view these features when using your imvu+ products on IMVU Classic (Client).

Are imvu+ options more expensive than regular products?
All products in Shop, including imvu+ products, are priced by Creators. There is no additional cost to pay for imvu+ products in Shop.
If I am a Creator, how do I receive an imvu+ badge on my product?
To create an imvu+ product and receive the imvu+ badge, you must publish the product with IMVU Studio and have it contain one of the features that is exclusive to IMVU Studio.
In Clothing, Furniture, or Room Shell products, at least one of these features are present:
Specific to Room Shell products if none of the above are present:
- One or more directional or point (omni) lights exist.
- The ambient light level is set to a combined RGB of less than 50%.

To view only imvu+ products, select to show only “imvu+ products” on the left hand side of Shop and Chat.
