The error message Low Memory on IMVU Mobile appears as a warning when memory is low or critical. This helps avoid app crashes. If you see either of the pop-ups below as a warning for low memory, you will still be able to use the app; but once the device has reached a critical level, the app may restart.
What to do when this error message appears?
This error message is not about your device storage; your device RAM can also be a factor in why you are having this issue. RAM is a kind of short-term memory function that stores app information temporarily. For more information about the difference between RAM and Storage, you may click here.
Here's what you can do when the error "Low Memory" appears:
STEP 1: Close all the background apps that are running.
For Android: Swipe up or press the home button, then click X, "Clear All", or simply swipe up on the app's preview to close the app (action may vary depending on your Android version).
For iOS: From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen, then swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.
Note: The more apps running in the background, the less RAM is available.
STEP 2: Once all the background apps are closed, relaunch the IMVU app.
STEP 3: If you have an app or built-in feature on your device to clean and free up memory, run the app to clean, then relaunch the IMVU app.
