I went to open Studio and noticed it was stuck on the loading screen. It stays grey and has the yellow pulse dot that shows its loading in the middle. I decided to uninstall the program and reinstall it. After I restarted, then came back to install the program, nothing has changed. It's completely grayed out and will never load. It's almost as if it's in a loop of loading the entire time. I'm downloading and attempting to install the latest version so I'm a bit confused. Is anyone else having trouble with this?

IMVU Studio won't load today. All I get is a blank loading screen. Can't even send a report. The loading screen won't allow me to 'x' out of it, I can only minimize it and it goes to my task bar. To get rid of it or close it, I have to restart my computer. I cleared IMVU cache, I also located the 2 files, that you mentioned a month ago, and deleted the contents of one of them and relocated the other file to my desktop. Restarted the computer, yet again, and the Studio still won't load. How are we supposed to keep up our Tier levels if we can't create? Why is the Studio unreliable and unstable. One min it works, one min it doesn't! Please fix this issue so that it doesn't keep happening. I'll post a screen shot in the next post.

I'm going to give this a try because now Studio is back to doing the same error. lol However, I will say I was able to actually submit a report from within Studio on the 3rd or 4th try of attempting to load it. However, once it did load the main screen to show all my products and projects, I was unable to access any project. Here's hoping this fixes that. Thank you!

UPDATE: We are working on a fix for this, but I have discovered that the solution is to just delete this folder: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\imvu-studio\Network
You will need to log back in to Studio, but your preferences should be saved.

I don't think there is one answer for these types of issues. I am trying to collect information from everyone I can to help others in the future.
I am extatic people here are back to using the IMVU Studio.

From what another user has told me your should be able to move 'IMVU Studio Projects' back to your Documents folder and Studio should continue to work.

Thank you for your help.
Took a bit but I was finally able to Delete the Contents of that file. Then I moved the other file to my desktop.
Rebooted and reinstalled the Studio and...IT WORKED! I got the log in screen and now all my projects are loading.
Now, what do I do with the file that I moved to the desktop? Shouldn't that go someplace else?

Hi @KellyJo
Copy and Paste these Shortcuts for the file locations Drosselmeyer was speaking of. Copy and Paste these links into your Windows File Explorer.
Delete Contents of :

I haven't tried this, but I did reinstall studio (1.16.4) and now it's working. I have no clue why it suddenly kicked in, but it's loading just fine now.

@mofaux (Customer) and @KellyJo (Customer), Can you try this:
Delete this folder: C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Roaming\imvu-studio
Move your 'C:\Users\<your_username>\Documents\IMVU Studio Projects' folder to another location temporarily.
If Studio loads, try moving your 'C:\Users\<your_username>\Documents\IMVU Studio Projects' folder back.
If Studio fails to load, try sorting your 'C:\Users\<your_username>\Documents\IMVU Studio Projects' folder by 'Date Modified' and moving the most recent project folder to another location temporarily.
It could be that there is a project that is causing the problem and if this is the case we would like to know. If you can isolate the issue to a single project folder, can you ZIP the project folder up and send it to [email protected]?

@LestatDeLioncourt, We save a log file for both the current Studio session and the last session, so "if" you can launch Studio after encountering an error you can do a 'Report a Problem' and we will get the log from the last session.
And if you cannot launch Studio....
Yes! The log files we get when you 'Report a Problem' from Studio are written here:

If anyone wants to try an older version of IMVU Studio, I have the link to download it. If you have downloaded an older version, it might be good to load it and test. If it works this may give Staff more needed information.
You will only be able to "Test" the older version for one usage. The Studio will Auto-Update to the newest version. If this works for you, you will have to reload this one each time you use the Studio until a solution is devised.
Download and Scan this file with your favorite A/V Scanner(s). It is Clean at the time I uploaded but it is up to you to re-scan. Download Here: The Download File to be removed in a few days. Grab it now if you want to test.
