I have complained about the Creator Tag issue for years only to fall on deaf ears. No one should have Dizy with only 1 Z in their catalog. It's abusive and they know what they are doing when they tag your name. I consider it sales theft for a reason (a very malicious way to get sales of their own) because while clients want to see my store they find others with my name on theirs and they deviate from what should have been my sale, to begin with to someone else's store, and IMVU instead of helping creators with odd/original or unique names on the store filter they keep saying is impossible to filter out.

@Alyissapearl​ Its kind of the case if however, you owned the name Cats and made cat products, every product you made would be banned to the back of the catalogue, IMVU did that about 4 years ago. Situation now is if you own the name, CatsGoMeowMeow, then you'll get a boost in rankings for Cat.

I typed the word * cat * into search yesterday in furniture........19 count them 19 pages before i even glimpsed a cat. Every dev with CAT in the name came up first. How are we suppose to sell things or even find anything if that the way the catty is? Utterly useless

@RigsK​ Here I have a few screenshots with the multiple issues I mentioned.

This is a screenshot of best match limited at 834 pages in the latest version of the IMVU classic client, it actually doesn't show a full 10.000, since it is limited to page 833.

So it is more like 9996 products, best match is divided between every single creator on IMVU including all creators that just derive and submit and don't really offer anything to the variety of the catalog. Once you try to load past page 833 you get an error window and you are not allowed to load anything past that.

The following is what is shown if I type in my own creator name, these products are neither best match nor are they newest items, they are products from 5 to 10 years ago.. although it does say best match, it is not.

The following shoes my catalog limited the same way as best match in the female catalog is, limited to 9996 products and the page 834 simply does not load.

The below is the fact that a browse under my own avatar name does not return always my own products, so by limiting searches we are further harmed by the fact that IMVU tagging system is abused by users that tag creators names.

The action of limiting searches of creators name will and does harm us in the long run, since the return of those searches allows others to also use our names as a keyword in their products.

Since the new generation of IMVU software product works almost exclusively on keywords for catalog filtering and IMVU is using keywords to do marketing campaigns such as quests, etc... Is it not time to address the abuse of original IMVU creator brand names in products that are not relevant to that creator? I would go as far to even say that IMVU keywords should even be pre-selected and restricted to those pre-selections.

Dress,Pink,Y2K,Pants,Christmas are valid keywords. MissMaya is not a keyword and there is no reason to tag it in a product unless you are hoping for a match of your own product when someone is in fact searching MissMaya.

@RigsK​ I believe IMVU classic client is still capped. Also, when I search my own name in classic client and in web shop under the female catalog I am getting this super random search of old products which has nothing to do with best match or newest items.

The search filter seems to be broken.

Thanks @RigsK​ and the team so much! Much appreciated! My public product count is back to what it should be! I'll check later when I have time to see if it goes past the 371 pages. On mobile I see a significantly longer scroll when searching items compared to what it was a few days ago. Looking at clothing with no keywords to narrow it down shows over 25 million items. Pajamas (my major niche) shows over 39,000 items. Checking the couple of creators I know of that are above 20,000 both show numbers similar to what I saw before (above 23,000 for one and above 29,000 for another).

Maybe the developer level system should be reconsidered. This is what drives developers to submit tons of products to the catalog in order to become Pro Developers. However, most of the products are 1:1 derivatives of the original product or stolen products. Since then, the theft of products has become so massive.

In any case, thanks to this system, more and more of the same products end up in the shop and "fill up" almost everything.

And now suddenly the shop has to be limited. There were no such problems with the old developer level system.

Front page of new clients is featured developers and NFT, once you get past that group of 50 developers, the other 50,000+ of us have whatever chicken feed is left over.

That would explain the drop in sales, once again IMVU have their favorites and thats how they place the shop pages, I have well over 20k in the catty and yet lucky to even make a sale this week,
