Hi, I don't know if I'm asking this in the right place. I thought I remembered something written about this already but I can't find it, neither in the creator education center, so please forgive my ignorance. I noticed that all of my female accessories show up additionally as male accessories now, and vice versa. Is this a permanent change? It wasn't this way when I started creating (not that long ago). Are there guidelines for what type of accessory will show up both places? I think all of my accessories at this point are connected to the root node (display cubes). Does that make a difference as to if it shows up for both male and female? What is the point of designating something unisex, are there certain accessories that this will change? It just seems strange to make something for both male and female and then they both show up both places. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Dear @Drosselmeyer , thanks for your answer. I will try changing what I dev a mesh from to see if that has any effect. However in fact I am satisfied with an accessory being available to both genders, I just won't create duplicates anymore.

@Lexique, Ah, yes. This is a recent change to all of the Next platforms (Web, Desktop, iOS, and Android). Apparently (and this was new to me also), it has always been this way on the Classic Client! And I agree with you that it is a bit strange to have the option to set gender on an accessory (attachment) product when ultimately it can be worn by either gender.
What these products offer is the ability for them to have their own skeleton (e.g.: for pets), but if you don't need that and just want to make an accessory such as a hat or bracelet and want to be able to restrict the gender, then it might be best to derive from Empty Male Clothing or Empty Female Clothing and set the category to Accessories.

As far as I am aware there is no way to restrict a product derived from Empty Female Accessory, Empty Male Accessory, Glasses Spice Lagoon, or Glasses King Gold to a gender.
