To streamline our efforts and focus on delivering more of the features you love, we've made the decision to discontinue Light (Theme) Mode. This will not only reduce engineering effort and maintenance but also pave the way for a more efficient and feature-rich IMVU.

Lots of people not just kids care about the mobile app .. because when you are mobile and away from your computer that's what you use to message and check in on imvu ... so don't count mobile out ... it's not just for kids, so let's keep our options varied and open so we can continue enjoying what we like on imvu ... if you care about your users

Seriously? who cares about the imvu phone app ..After all that is for the kids not us adults ..i can say this for myself ..when i my laptop is out ..i have no other choice but to use the mobile app.. now back to the matter at hand ..the only ones that should be affecting is the creators ..the're the ones that has put up with the new changes .. and 3. no i don't see imvu getting rid of imvu classic either for the fact they know if they do ..there gonna lose most of imvu users period...i don't see the creator and daddy to imvu "Wil Harvey" getting rid of what made imvu as of Today ....Unless him and the vip peeps sits around a meeting table dicussing the final say so of the company ...

@YenAcardiRocks I seriously doubt that. They were originally supposedly going to do that back in the summer of 2020 or 21; I can't remember which. Ownership has flipped, NEXT is nowhere near ready so far as I can tell - so now they're basically stuck with effectively three different vehicles (Classic, NEXT and the phone app) for IMVU. I still can't comprehend how dark theming is supposedly going to streamline diddly.

They are planning to do away with classic sometime in 2025...at least that is the rumor, don't know how true that is, but the issues on classic have become unstable more lately.

Apparently someone changed the definition of dark themed when I wasn't looking. Isn't it already dark themed? How about going back and fixing the list of bugs with the client that's longer than my arm rather than whatever this is meant to do? Every day the client acts more unstable, and this is what the coders are working on?

I am happy that you posted this @Saturi but when I received the message from the @IMVUCommunityTeam avi, my heart sank ! I for one am NOT even remotely thrilled about this Dark Theme. At least have a toggle switch where WE the users can choose to have Light or Dark at our disposal. I would say most services offer you that option. Even on your automobile it is a choice.

I have been on IMVU for just over 10 years and a creator for almost 10 years. I have a hard time using dark mode, almost impossible. An option to use dark mode may satisfy most people. I understand "Your Co. company your rules". If you do dark mode only, I will have no choice but to go. I sincerely hope you consider giving an option.
